If Marvel has a cinematic universe, kids have an imaginative multiverse where everything is possible and the only barrier is their imagination.

So much of childhood consists of exploring and discovering the world. And since so much is unknown fantasy may as well fill in the blanks thus a backyard might become the most magical of places

No matter the context, kids look for ways to explore, invent, re-invent stories and worlds. They always use their imaginations to build stories out of nothing. A butterfly can be a dragon. A rock is a huge mountain peak, a broken broken branch is a Harry Potter wand. And the list goes on.
